This 2005 dark tobacco burst maple top mahogany back electric guitar has a mahogany neck with a pearl inlay fingerboard, serial number EE070500215. The guitar is stored in its original Les Paul black leather case with plush grey interior lining. Guitar stand is for display purposes only and is not included with sale of this item.

This guitar is the second of two Ephiphone Slash Signature Les Paul Line prototypes presented to Slash for his approval. The guitar frets and strings show signs of wear, most likely from Slash playing to testing the sound. Gibson produced a promotional interview with Slash, where he discusses approaching Epiphone about the collaboration of his signature guitar line. This guitar was purchased direct from “The Collection of Slash” auction on March 26, 2011 and has been in our possession since. All the assets included in the auction were acquired from Slash’s personal collection.

Slash is considered by many to be one of the greatest guitarists in the history of rock and roll. His opening riffs on such G N’ R songs as “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City” remain some of the most universally recognizable guitar parts ever written. Europe’s best selling guitar magazine “Total Guitar” ranked his opening to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” at # 1 of the “100 Greatest Riffs” list in 2004, and “Guitar World” listed his solo from “November Rain” as # 6 on their list of "The 100 Greatest Guitar Solos" in 2008. Slash was honored with a star on the Rock Walk of Fame in 2007.

This guitar and case are in excellent condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Presented by The Golden Closet, your premier source for iconic screen used wardrobe, props, and entertainment memorabilia.
