This partial outfit was worn by the character “Rita Rizzoli” portrayed by the actress Whoopi Goldberg in the 1987 motion picture “Fatal Beauty”, starring Sam Elliot. The Jacket was custom made for Ms. Goldberg and is constructed of a gold and black lame' material, the faux suede leopard print boots have a secret gun holster sewn inside, and the purse is a gold and black pleather.
Ms. Goldberg wore the jacket and bag when Rita Rizzoli, is an undercover hooker. The jacket and boots are worn when Rizzoli goes undercover to a buy house to track down the source of the drug. When she is recognized as a cop a shootout ensues, bodyguard Mike Marshak (Sam Elliot) comes to her aid and admits that he has been secretly following her for protection.
This costume was acquired directly from the production company after the film completion in 1987. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the costume house.
