This collection of jewelry was worn by the character "Deena Jones," portrayed by Beyoncé Knowles, in the 2006 musical film, "Dreamgirls." This collection includes a pear drop faux-diamond pendant necklace, a large faux-diamond ring, as well as a golden swirl ring decorated with faux-rhinestones. These items come complete with the costumers’ tag which includes asset and production notes.
Ms. Knowles wears the necklace with a number of costume changes throughout the film and can be seen clutching the necklace during the photo shoot sequence when Curtis (Jamie Foxx) adjusts her hair. The diamond ring can be seen throughout the film after Deena and Curtis are married, and the swirl ring is visible during “The Dreams” performance at the Rainbow Records show after Jimmy Early (Eddie Murphy) makes a fool of himself on stage.
"Dreamgirls," adapted from the Broadway production of the same name, follows the story of the history and evolution of American R&B music during the 1960s and 1970s through the eyes of a girl group known as "The Dreams." The film was nominated for eight Academy Awards and five Golden Globe awards, including a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for Beyoncé Knowles. The garments are in very good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
