The vintage gown was worn by a background character, likely portrayed by Charna Haver in the 1954 motion picture “The Egyptian”, starring Jean Simmons and Victor Mature. The vintage empire gown has pleated aqua chiffon over pastel peach fabric , shoulder straps, and bias hook and eye closure. Internal bodice labels with “Charna Haver” and “125-1-4588 A722-55” handwritten in black ink and Paramount Label with “Gloria Marshall” handwritten in black ink.
Worn by one of the background characters holding a long white feather during the royal audience. While Charna Haver is not credited in this film, the 20th Century Fox production number included with this garment matches The Egyptian.
This garment is in excellent vintage condition, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
